Therapeutic Approaches
Different approaches. An individual way of working.
Therapy can be understood and approached in different ways. I draw from a range of therapeutic frameworks depending on you and what we are working with.
The approaches that inform my work
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
A parts-based approach that helps us understand the different parts of you and the roles they have developed.
Emotion-Focused Therapy
Helping you understand, experience and process emotions in a meaningful way.
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Exploring how past experiences, relationships and unconscious processes may influence how you feel and relate today.
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
A practical approach that explores the connection between thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
Somatic Therapy
Bringing awareness to what is happening in the body alongside thoughts and emotions.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
A practical approach that helps you relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions
Coming Home to Yourself
Therapy can also be about something deeper.
For some people, therapy becomes more than working through symptoms or understanding patterns. It can become a process of reconnecting with yourself — strengthening your intuition, exploring your inner world, and becoming more connected with what feels meaningful, authentic and true to you.
There can also be space for spirituality, inner knowing and questions of meaning and purpose, if these are important to you.
